Specialized Master in Finance

  • Dirigé à Specialised Masters students come from various countries and have different backgrounds: engineers, doctors, pharmacists, students of literature and law, etc. Originating from 40 nationalities, they form a group of multicultural participants, which makes exchanging and working in groups all the more enriching. Eligible applicants must hold a master's degree* (research or professional) in architecture, engineering, management, public administration, political science, humanities or in any other field. The following degrees are required for eligibility (in fields such as engineering, management, medecine, architecture, humanities ... ): - A "Grande Ecole" degree - A Master's degree (five years of study) - A Post-graduate degree (over 5 years) - A Bachelor degree with 3 years of work experience - Other degree equivalent to the above (please consult us) Standardized tests - Applicants must present a GMAT or a TAGE-MAGE score taken within the last two years. - Non native speakers of English have to present a TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS score taken within the last two years. -This requirement may be waived for applicants with non-traditional backgrounds and those who demonstrate exceptional qualities and skills. In accordance with standards set by the French “Conférence des Grandes Ecoles”, such applicants must not exceed 30% of admitted students per year.

  • Contenu Students begin the programme at the ESCP-EAP campus in London, Madrid, or Paris with an initial series of core courses offered in the chosen campus’ local language to facilitate mastery of fundamental concepts. All students then come together at the London campus, where they continue their coursework all together in English. After these two phases of the common-core syllabus, they choose a specialisation that reflects their personal and professional objectives. Once their coursework is completed, students must undertake a four-month minimum internship and write a professional thesis.

    This full-time programme extends to 12 months and involves 25 weeks of rigorous full-time (for a total of 495 hours of courses) and intensive academic coursework, followed by a four-month minimum internship. It starts in September of each year and is organised as follows:


    Weeks 1 to 11: Core courses taught on the campus of ESCP-EAP in London, Madrid, or Paris

    Weeks 12 to 19: Core courses taught on the london campus

    Weeks 20 to 25: Electives
    After these two phases of the common-core syllabus, participants choose a specialisation that reflects their personal and professional objectives. The choice is the following:

        - Investment banking: ESCP-EAP London
        - Sales & trading: ESCP-EAP Paris
        - Investment & Asset Management: ESCP-EAP London
        - Islamic Finance: ESA Beirut


    Company placement & Professional thesis
    Once their coursework is completed, students must undertake an internship of at least four months in the country of their choice and write a professional thesis.
    The alumni network for both the MS in Finance and the school as a whole fosters strong links to financial institutions. Alumni who are leading experts in international finance regularly deliver lectures and presentations and thus share their wealth of knowledge with current students and play an important role in their job search.
