In the Master in DevOps and Cloud Computing, we consolidate IT expertise into one comprehensive degree program. Divided into two main sections, you'll delve into DevOps, which integrates software development and IT operations, along with cloud computing. Additionally, you'll gain insights into product development, agile software methodologies, and cyber security.
Moreover, depending on your chosen study model, you can opt for one or two elective modules, such as IT security laws, container orchestration, continuous security, IT service management, architecture, and product development with design thinking.
These foundational IT competencies empower students to implement and oversee DevOps culture within diverse organizations. By mastering DevOps and cloud computing, you're not only enhancing technical skills but also fostering a positive business culture and contributing to the creation of adaptable, scalable, and automated IT infrastructures.

Academic Requirements:
- Completed degree from a public or officially recognised university/higher education institution in a relevant field.
- For 60 ECTS credits programmes, you will need to have already acquired 240 ECTS credits.
- Achieved a final grade of at least “satisfactory” or Grade C equivalent (minimum 3,5 in the German grading scale) in your previous undergraduate degree
In some cases: Proof of at least one year’s professional work experience completed prior to the start of the study programme. Work experience must have been gained after completion of your undergraduate studies and needs to be full-time (trainees are not accepted).
English Level:
- Proof of English skills.
- If you do not meet the English skills requirements, IU offers the free of charge IU English Language course. This is available to you if you meet the other admission requirements.
- If English is your native language or you graduated from an English-speaking school/university, you do not have to prove your English skills.
